Ja’ja Chews was born during a long and difficult season in my life — a season that deepened my faith, stretched my perspective, and drew me closer to God. During that time, I found myself drawn to four simple ingredients often found in kitchens around the world: honey, ginger, lemon, and garlic.

What began as a personal kitchen creation eventually became something much deeper — a reflection of creativity, intention, and the beauty found in simple things.

Every Ja’ja Chew is handcrafted with care, prayer, and purpose. They’re a reminder that even the smallest things can carry meaning.

🍯 A Sweet Tradition

Last week, I added a couple Ja’ja Chews to my Vault — an ongoing personal archive and research project. Since 2020, I’ve been setting aside chews from different batches I’ve made. What started as five chews per batch quickly became more than I expected!

While looking through the jar, I discovered one of the original batches from July 13, 2020. I carefully cut away a small piece and was surprised by how rich the flavor had become over time.

In fact, honey has famously been discovered in ancient Egyptian tombs thousands of years later, still preserved over time.
